Finally, Spring has arrived in the Great Smoky Mountains. With the nice weekend weather that we have had lately, the crowds are returning to the mountains seeking relief from the long cold winter. I was so happy to see that the sign at Willow Brook Lodge in Pigeon Forge read 77 degrees yesterday. The ten day forcast has our weather in the middle 60′s and above.
Pigeon Forge is ramping up for the upcoming tourist season, with new attractions, new shows and more. Wonderworks is now offering the Wonders of Magic featuring Terry Evanswood. The Smoky Mountain Theatre has the Temptations Revue with starring Nate Evans, who began performing with original vocalists David Ruffin, Dennis Edwards and Eddie Kendricks. Dollywood is opening Adventure Mountain this season. The Miracle Theater is present “Joseph and the Amazing Technocolor Dreamcoat” starring American Idol Finalist Melinda Doolittle. And on your drive in to Pigeon Forge, you will notice that we now have the Titantic.
It’s going to be a great season here in the Smoky Mountains. Here’s a few pictures of Spring preperations, and as you can tell, the camels in front of the Miracle Theatre really enjoyed the warm weather.
