If you’ve never stayed at the Inn at Christmas Place, you are missing out on a fantastic spectacle of Christmas all year around. TripAdvisor agrees, as it was recently revealed that the Inn at Christmas Place is the #6 Hotel In the United States! Ranking above hotels in major cities and other competition in the nearby area, it has been shown as a prime example of what to experience when you come to the Smokies. It’s easy to see why, as their website shows just a small example of what their rooms and lobby look like. Santa may be resting for post-Christmas, but that’s no excuse to drop by when you’re in town!

Congratulations to the Inn at Christmas Place and here’s hoping for another successful year!

The Fifth Annual Winter Heritage festival will be taking place in the Townsend area this February! As stated on their main site: “The Festival is a celebration of the human history, natural beauty, and cultural traditions of Townsend, Cades Cove, and Great Smoky Mountains National Park.  The event involves many community groups and businesses and Great Smoky Mountains National Park.”  There’s a whole slew of speakers speaking of life and winter in the south, crafting, Civil War Encampment Demonstrations walking tours and more! If you have any interest in winter southern life and how it was lived, this is for you!

There’s still plenty of time to check out Winterfest in the Smokies, but that times goes far, far too quickly! February 28 is when the lights will be cut off and we’ll be forced to accept that spring is coming soon.  So if you haven’t done so yet, make it so! There’s plenty of spectacles to see up in the Smokies wherever you may be staying and something for everyone! Hope to see you there!
