We’ve hit Rod Run season in the Smokies and there’s no other way I’d rather start it! Seeing all those antique vehicles up and down the parkway is a sight to behold! Even better is when you’re driving around randomly through the smokies and suddenly you’re up with a muscle car from the early 70s. Add the majestic vision of the smokies into the mix and you got quite a show there on your own!

May 3 – 5 is the Yellow Mustang Car Run, an annual event around this area where you’ll see the most yellow Ford Mustangs that you could every possibly see in one single location. This year it is at The Inn at Christmas Place, so call 1-888-465-9644 for more information!

Cars not your thing? How about nature instead? Birdwatching in the Smokies will take place May 4th – 6th.Hosted by the Great Smoky Mountains Institute at Tremont, you can get a first hand look at many of the bird species in the smokies, including their distribution, management and natural history in the area. There is a cost per person for this journey ($302 per person) but it sounds like a very knowledgeable journey into the Smokies! Look to their website for the details!
