We’ve had a bit of a warm spell here in the Smokies (Well, relatively speaking), but there’s still plenty of cool things to do now that February is around the corner! Let’s take a quick look:

Smoky Mountain Gospel Jubilee is goingt o be happening  at the Country Tonite Theater early in the month, this February 9th through the 10th. Call 1-800-792-4308 for more information and get your tickets for that early Valetine’s Day present!

If you can’t make it until later, there’s the Saddly Up Celebration from the 23rd to the 26th, presenting the best in Western Music and Poetry! There is even a chuckwagon cookoff on Saturday, the 26th for that extra Western flavor! You don’t want to miss this! We don’t have information on where it is located yet and who to call, but we’ll post that at a later date!

Don’t forget that starting from the 23rd of January, you can catch a glimpse of Behind the Scenes of James Cameron’s Titanic at the Titanic Museum in Pigeon Forge! You’ll have plenty of time this year to see it, but why not be the first in your neighborhood to see it, especially with the advent of the 3D version coming out in theaters? Call 1-800-381-7670 for more information!

On the 14th of January, the Titanic Exhibit in Pigeon Forge is going to be holding an Ice Carving Competition! From Amateurs to Professionals, people will come from all around to convert a 250 pound block of ice into an artful masterpiece! From chopping to blowtorches to even chainsaws, this is one art form that I’m sure you will be entertained by! If last year’s competition is to be expected, competitors will start early (9 AM or so) with judging at 3 PM, but we do not have clear times for this year at all. Go to the Titanic’s blog for more info. Happy carving!
