Nearly February and The Winter is just getting starting!

We’ve had a bit of a warm spell here in the Smokies (Well, relatively speaking), but there’s still plenty of cool things to do now that February is around the corner! Let’s take a quick look:

Smoky Mountain Gospel Jubilee is goingt o be happening at the Country Tonite Theater early in the month, this February 9th through the 10th. Call 1-800-792-4308 for more information and get your tickets for that early Valetine’s Day present!

If you can’t make it until later, there’s the Saddly Up Celebration from the 23rd to the 26th, presenting the best in Western Music and Poetry! There is even a chuckwagon cookoff on Saturday, the 26th for that extra Western flavor! You don’t want to miss this! We don’t have information on where it is located yet and who to call, but we’ll post that at a later date!

This Weekend at the Forge!

June is almost here and we’re well on our way of feeling the heatwave. Fortunately, we have some events to help cool us down:

At the Sevierville Events Center from June 2 – 4 is the Parkest Greatest Knife show, promising a wide selection of knives to the connoisseur of pointy objects. Visit their website for more details on what they may have, what dealers are coming and more!
The Elkmont Synchronous Fireflies will be easily accessed at Elkmont from June 4 – June 12! One of the few places in the world where fireflies gather in a large force, this is a must-see event! We’ll bring about more info soon, but in the meantime, you can check out the official Elkmont Campground information for your needs.
The Incredible Christmas Place celebrated 25 years in the Smokies on June 15! There will be plenty of bargains and celebrations to go along with these and there are even special anniversary packages for those wanting to stay at the Christmas Inn across the street. Check it out!
