The lights are on, but the party starts now! Winterfest will begin with celebrations this afternoon! Expect big crowds for the ceremony, but this year there should be plenty of parking. If you can’t park at Patriot Park, there will be overflow parking at the “Belle Island” parking lot up the street, which Pigeon Forge now uses for overflow. A trolley service will be running all night to take people to and fro there cars. So if you seem daunted by crowds, then you shouldn’t have to worry that much about finding a parking space.
Happy winter, everyone!

Since we’re getting into the full swing of Summer now, everyone seems to be wanting to go to Smokies. Whether to take in the sites, relax, or go through the many attractions the area has to offer, everyone has there own reasons. If you’re in town this weekend, I hope you’re beating off the heat and having a blast! For me, it’s a great time to hit the trials and do a little hiking. Ace Gap, while a litle out of the way is a good simple trail to hike on and great for a small groups, like the one I went with. Be careful on the drive and enjoy the sites!
If nature is not your thing, The Belz Outlets in Pigeon Forge will be having a massive sidewalk sale from Thursday, July 22 to Sunday, July 25. No idea what the sale will contain, but if you’re in the shopping mood, it would be wise of you to check it out!
