The Annual Dolly Parton Homecoming Parade has changed dates.  The new date is May the 8th with the parade starting at 6 P.M.  The parade will run two miles down the Pigeon Forge Parkway from traffic light number 3 to light number 6.

This is the 24th year of the parade and as always honors Dolly Parton.  This year has a special meaning as Dolly is the official ambassador of the 75h anniversary of Great Smoky Mountains National Park.  The parade is one of six Pigeon Forge events honoring the National Park.

The parade will feature a variety of floats representing Pigeon Forge theaters, car clubs, equestrian clubs, cheerleading teams, twirlers and high school marching bands. A mainstay participant is the band from Sevier County High School, Parton´s alma mater.

For more information about Dolly’s Homecoming Parade, call the Pigeon Forge Department of Tourism at 1-800-251-9100.

Here’s a few pictures from last years parade.
